🔒 Protect your personal information
- Never share your home address, workplace, or daily routines with someone you've just met.
- Use RishtaAssist's in-app messaging — avoid moving to WhatsApp or phone too quickly.
- Do not share financial details, bank account numbers, or send money to anyone on the platform.
🧐 Spot warning signs
- Requests for money, gifts, or financial help — however sympathetic the story.
- Profiles that seem too good to be true or refuse video calls.
- Pressure to move off-platform very quickly.
- Inconsistencies between what they say and what their profile shows.
👪 Involve your family
RishtaAssist is designed for families. Share profiles with a parent, sibling, or trusted elder before proceeding. A family's perspective is invaluable and part of the Islamic approach to Nikah.
📞 Meeting in person
- Always meet in a public place for the first time, with a wali or family member present.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Video-call before meeting to confirm the person matches their profile.
🚩 Report concerns
Use the Report button on any profile or message that concerns you. Our team reviews every report. You can also block a member to prevent all contact. For urgent safety matters, contact safety@rishtaassist.com.
